Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Data Path Academy (the "Service"), accessible at datapathacademy.com, operated by Jonathan Olivarez ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Data Path Academy is an online learning platform offering self-paced courses, coding exercises, quizzes, and projects focused on data analysis and data engineering skills. Some content is available free of charge; full access to a Learning Path requires a one-time payment as described in Section 4.

• You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. If you are a minor, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

• Each Learning Path (e.g. Data Analyst, Data Engineer) is sold as a one-time purchase in Philippine Pesos (₱), currently priced at ₱299 per Path unless otherwise stated on the pricing page at time of purchase.
• A Path purchase grants lifetime access to that Path's content for your account. This is not a subscription and does not auto-renew or recur.
• Payments are processed by PayMongo, a licensed third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, or online banking credentials — these are handled directly by PayMongo and your payment method provider.
• Your bank or card statement may show the charge under our payment processing merchant name rather than "Data Path Academy." This is expected and does not indicate an unauthorized charge.
• Prices may change at any time for future purchases; changes do not affect Paths you have already purchased.

If you are not satisfied with a Path you purchased, you may request a refund within 7 days of the purchase date, provided you have completed less than 20% of the Path's lessons. To request a refund, email xnathan01@gmail.com with your account email and the Path purchased. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or issuer. Refund requests outside this window, or after substantial completion of a Path, are evaluated case by case and are not guaranteed.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use purchased content for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You agree not to:

• Share your account or purchased content with others, or resell, sublicense, or redistribute course material;
• Copy, scrape, or republish lesson content, exercises, or datasets outside the Service;
• Use the Service to build a competing product or dataset of course content;
• Attempt to bypass payment, access controls, or interfere with the Service's normal operation.

All course content, exercises, branding, and platform code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that content to you beyond the limited license in Section 6.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that completing any Path will result in employment or any specific career outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6–9) will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
